Meng’s Martial Arts of Katy organized a group of students, parents and Instructors to volunteer on the day before Memorial Day for the organization Flags for Fallen Vets. Meng’s has several students and Instructors that have served the military and was close to their hearts to give back. “This was a good teachable moment for the everyone, youth and adults” said Master Brad Ryan, owner of the Katy, Texas location. This is our second time volunteering for Flags for Fallen vets, and we’ve enjoyed it so much this will be a yearly volunteer event for Meng’s Martial Arts of Katy. If your interested in volunteering next year, here is some basic information and a link to their website – http://www.flagsforfallenvets.com/
A little about Flags for Fallen Vets. – It is a NON-PROFIT and their MISSION was established on May 14TH, 2012 for the purpose of ensuring an American Flag is placed upon EVERY Veterans Grave Site at EACH National Cemetery in the Country for Memorial Day. There are close to 800,000 Interred American Veterans across the country that are not given this Hallowed Honor. Through Private and Corporate Donations, Volunteerism, and the Education of our Next Generation our organization will work towards NEVER allowing Americans to forget those who have served and sacrificed throughout our Countries History for the Freedoms we enjoy today.
